Catholic School doesn’t have the typical layout for their class pages. To
start off, they don’t even have “class” pages. On the site, they have the classes
sorted by grade type: early childhood, primary, intermediate, and middle school.
The primary page (as an example) has all the teachers and aids for grades
kindergarten through second grade. Also found on each of the pages is the curriculum
for each of the grades.
I could see myself designing a website to help my students visualize what I am trying to teach them. I could post the standards for our certain subject areas so the students can see where they should be and if I am helping them to achieve those standards. I also would post my contact information so that students and parents can get in touch with me. I can also use this website to post a calendar so students and parents can know the best times to have a meeting with me.
After visiting the Technology Sandbox, I am looking forward to using the 3d pens and the merge cube in the classroom. I love the 3d pens because it gives students a new way to look at the art they create. It also can help move them into learning how to use 3d printing technology. The merge cube is a great way to teach visual and kinetic learners using the same piece of technology.
